TERMS of service

Last updated: June 18th, 2026

Please read my terms of service before commissioning me. Make sure that you understand and accept the terms presented below before entering an agreement with me. When agreeing on a commission and making a payment, you accept the terms below.

basic information

My commissions are open to anyone and are no longer limited to a singular platform. I may occassionally open "specialty" commissions (eg. furry name badges) but these will be announced on my social medias, and use their own form.
To claim a slot for a commission, please fill out this form.

Once I've reviewed your request, if approved, I will reach out to you. Slots that exceed my monthly capacity (which can vary) will be added to a waitlist for the next month. You will be informed if this happens.

To get a general idea of my pricing, please look at my commission information page. Keep in mind that listed prices are estimates, and depending on complexity, number of characters, and level of detail, the price can and will vary.
All listed prices are in USD and the final price will include Maine's 5.5% sales tax.

Communication is extremely important to me and I will always inform you of the final price and wait for an explicit agreement to the price before requesting payment.
I will never contact you asking for money, and I will never ask you to send me money through a platform other than PayPal unless it has been previously agreed upon.

general

  1. you must be 18 years or older to commission me, or have permission from a parent to make the purchase. NSFW commissions require an age verification and are not accessible to those who are underage.
  2. I reserve the right to refuse, cancel and / or refund a commission at any time, for any reason.
  3. I reserve all rights to the commissioned artwork,
  4. Commercial use of commissioned work requires disclosure in the intial pitch or price confirmation conversation, and incurs a commercial licensing fee (usually 100% of base price).
  5. The creation process (speedpaints, external screen recordings, etc.) of any commissioned piece may be used in video / image content, and will potentially be shared on social media platforms. Please let me know if you do not wish for your artwork to be used in this way.
  6. You may create merchandise, resize, crop and use the artwork for personal, non-commercial uses only. Do not make changes to the artwork, and please ensure that I am credited as the artist when sharing the artwork to other platforms.
  7. If you would like your commission kept entirely private, please let me know when you send in your initial request.
  8. AI generated references, character or otherwise, will not be accepted and will result in you being blacklisted.

payment

Per Maine laws, I am required to add a 5.5% sales tax onto my services. I will quote you the tax-added price, you do not have to calculate tax on your own.

  1. Payment is taken fully upfront, in USD through PayPal.
  2. I use invoices for my payments, so please make sure you have a working PayPal account and can provide a valid email address for the invoice to be sent to.
  3. Payment Plans
    • Payment plans can be discussed for commissions over $150.
    • For works under $150, if you want or need to set up a payment plan, you must include this in your initial request, not after the fact.
    • I generally do plans of $100 a week, but I am more than open to discussing a different plan with you.
    • Work in progress images will be heavily watermarked regardless of if the work has been paid for in full or not.
  4. I generally do not accept cancellations and / or refunds. If there's an emergency on your end, please let me know so we can work something out together.
  5. If I become unable to complete your commission, for emergency reasons or otherwise, I will notify you and refund you.

process

  1. When filling out the commission form, please fill out every question. Attach reference files in the designated response spots by using platforms like Google Drive, sta.sh, Drop Box, or toyhou.se profiles so I have them prior to confirming your slot.
    • Do not use Discord image links, they expire.
    • Please make sure that if you are sending a toyhou.se link that the character is either visible to the public, or that you send a link with an access key so I can see the character(s).
    • NSFW reference sheets are fine to send in, but if you want your character clothed and have a clothed reference, please send that instead.
  2. Once I've reviewed your request, I will reach out to you through one of the methods you provided within 1-2 weeks. I will inform you if I'm able to work on your commission within the same month, or if you will be added to the waitlist.
  3. I will inform you of the final price, and need an explicit confirmation that you accept the price and that I am allowed to create an invoice with the agreed upon price.
  4. Once the price is confirmed and I have all of the information I need, I will send you an invoice through PayPal. The window is usually a little over a week, and I will start working once the invoice has been paid.
  5. When the payment has reached me, I will mark it as paid on my Trello. My queue and workload can be viewed there, and you can use it as a place to get an overview of the progress of your commission, as the board is updated at least every two days.

For more detailed updates, I will send you work in progress images directly in order to get feedback and for you to approve the stage. Once approved, I will continue on with my work.

If you want me to change something, please let me know ASAP so I can adjust the piece accordingly. My pricing includes one free revision, but if you request more than that, I reserve the right to add an extra fee. My own mistakes (eg. missing a marking from the reference) will be fixed free of charge.

  6. After I've received final approval from you, I will send you an email with all of the high-resolution files of the artwork. Once this point is reached, I consider the work finished and will not accept further changes unless I've missed one of my own mistakes.
  7. My turnaround time per commission usually does not exceed a month. If I need to extend this time, I will let you know beforehand.

character design permissions

  1. When purchasing a character design from me (eg. an adoptable, or a custom design), full personal and commercial rights to the design are included with the purchase.
    • This does not mean you have commercial rights to the artwork, but to the design.
    • If you would like to use the artwork commercially, let me know and we can work something out.
  2. You may edit the design in any way you see fit. Editing my artwork is only allowed for personal use and reference, and does not permit commercial use of the edited artwork.
  3. For adoptables, you may request for me to edit the design as long as it's within reason.
    • Reasonable examples: eye color change, hairstyle change
    • Unreasonable examples: species change (eg. dragon to horse), complete recolor
    • Reasonable or not, requested edits may incur a fee.
  4. You can resell the design for the same price you purchased it for, or for a higher value if there is additional artwork.
  5. You can also gift and/or trade my designs.
  6. Please do not make a species based on the unique traits of a design you've purchased from me. Open / nonprofit or closed / for-profit, I would rather you reach out to me if you want to do this.
